An Australian Light Armoured Vehicle engages targets during Exercise Chong Ju. Mid Caption: The roar of the venerable F111 was heard in the Goulburn valley for one of the last times this week (12-13 May 10). Two of the Amberley- based aircraft supported a firepower and maneuver demonstration at Puckapunyal Military Area, called EXERCISE CHONG JU. EX CHONG JU is named after a series of offensive actions by the 3rd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) on 29 October 1950 against North Koreans, during which infantry company advances were supported by US Army tanks and artillery.
